Job summary

Prachay Group is seeking a senior research leader to own and drive the debt market and corporate finance research agenda. You will coordinate with senior leadership to translate requirements into structured research programs, manage a team of analysts, and deliver management-ready reports and dashboards.

The role emphasizes data integrity, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic insight generation to support major business decisions and investor conversations.

Qualifications

• MBA/CFA/CA or equivalent in Finance/Economics/Business.

• Own and manage the overall research agenda based on management requirements and business priorities.
• Understand research requirements from the CEO, CFO, Directors, and senior leadership and translate them into structured research assignments.
• Prioritize multiple research projects based on urgency, business relevance, and management requirements.
• Develop research frameworks, methodologies, trackers, and standard processes to improve the quality and efficiency of research.
• Identify relevant data sources and develop reliable information channels for ongoing research.
• Debt Market & Financial Research
• Lead research on the debt market, corporate credit, bonds, investors, issuers, and related financial markets.
• Track companies, sectors, industries, promoters, management teams, investors, and market developments relevant to the business.
• Analyse companies from financial, business, ownership, management, strategic, and credit perspectives.
• Conduct comparative and thematic research to identify relevant trends, opportunities, risks, and market intelligence.
• Monitor developments in the corporate finance and debt market ecosystem and provide relevant insights to management.
• Company & Individual Profiling
• Lead detailed profiling of companies, promoters, founders, investors, senior management, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Review ownership structures, business models, financial position, leadership backgrounds, strategic positioning, and relevant market information.
• Validate information from multiple sources before presenting it to management.

• Prepare management-ready research reports, analytical notes, presentations, dashboards, and briefing documents.
• Provide concise and accurate research inputs for strategic discussions and decision-making.
• Ensure that research outputs are factually accurate, relevant, well-structured, and supported by reliable data.
• Team Management
• Manage, guide, and mentor the Research Analyst Team
• Allocate research assignments and establish clear timelines and expected outcomes.
• Review and quality-check research reports, data sheets, presentations, and analytical outputs prepared by the Research Analyst.
• Develop the Analyst’s research, analytical, data interpretation, and presentation capabilities.
• Establish standards for research quality, documentation, validation, and presentation.
• Conduct regular feedback and performance discussions with the team member.
• Data & Research Intelligence
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of large-scale data sheets, trackers, databases, and dashboards.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely updating of critical research data.
• Identify patterns, trends, relationships, and insights from available data.
• Develop structured databases that can support management decision-making and future research requirements.
• Management Support
• Work closely with the CEO, Founder, CFO, Directors, and senior management on confidential and high-priority research assignments.
• Provide quick-turnaround research support for management meetings, business discussions, investor meetings, and strategic initiatives.
• Prepare pre-meeting research briefs and post-meeting summaries wherever required.
• Maintain strict confidentiality while handling sensitive business, financial, and management information.
• Process & Quality Improvement
• Continuously improve research methodologies, templates, databases, and reporting formats.
• Introduce efficient tools and technology, including AI and research automation, to improve research productivity and quality.
• Promote effective use of AI and prompt engineering for research, analysis, summarization, and data interpretation.
• Build a repository of research, insights, company profiles, market information, and other relevant intelligence for future reference.
