The candidate should hold an MSc in Organic Chemistry with 1–3 years’ hands-on experience, strong experimental record, and familiarity with purification and analytical techniques such as HPLC and NMR.

Qualifications

• M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry is required.
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in pharma-related synthesis is expected.
• Strong knowledge of multi-step synthesis and data integrity is essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory-scale synthesis of pharmaceutical intermediates and APIs under supervision.
• Maintain accurate experimental records and lab notebooks.
• Assist in process optimization and reaction parameter studies.
• Support analytical teams in sample preparation and analysis (HPLC, GC, NMR, etc.).
• Follow safety protocols and assist in scale-up and tech transfer.
• Contribute to reports and documentation per guidelines.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Chemist – Pharma to support the R&D and process development team in executing synthetic chemistry experiments, process optimization, and scale-up of pharmaceutical intermediates and APIs. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of organic chemistry and hands‑on experience in multi‑step synthesis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct laboratory‑scale synthesis of pharmaceutical intermediates and APIs under supervision.
• Maintain accurate experimental records, observations, and results in lab notebooks.
• Assist in process optimization and reaction parameter studies.
• Support analytical teams in sample preparation and analysis (HPLC, GC, NMR, etc.).
• Follow safety protocols, maintain lab hygiene, and handle chemicals responsibly.
• Coordinate with senior chemists for scale‑up trials and technology transfer activities.
• Contribute to report preparation and documentation as per internal guidelines.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Education: M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry

Experience: 1–3 Years

Technical Skills:

• Good knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry techniques.
• Familiarity with purification methods (crystallization, distillation, column chromatography).
• Basic understanding of analytical techniques (TLC, HPLC, GC, NMR, IR).

Soft Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and data integrity.
