Job summary

Jubilant Biosys in Greater Noida, India, is seeking a capable synthetic organic chemist to contribute to drug discovery projects. The role focuses on synthesis, purification, characterization of novel compounds and delivering quantities for assay work.

Candidate should excel in TLC, NMR/IR/MS data analysis, and safe lab practices, with strong communication skills and teamwork. Retrosynthesis is a plus; MS-Office skills are required.

Responsibilities

• 1 Synthesis, purification and characterization of novel chemical compounds.
• 2 Deliver small to large quantities of by novel chemical entities for drug discovery.
• 3 Work collaboratively in a team to drive chemistry projects forward.
• 4 Responsible for safe conduct of reactions.
• 5 Excellent knowledge in basic and advance organic chemistry.
• 6 Good knowledge in functional group conversion and multiple step synthesis.
• 7 Basic knowledge retrosynthetic analysis (desirable).
• 8 Good expertise in handling pyrophoric reactions.
• 9 Good knowledge of TLC, column purification, extraction.
• 10 Excellence in analyzing NMR, IR and Mass Spectrometry data.
• 11 Always adhere to safe laboratory practices.
• 12 Enthusiasm to work in a dynamic research environment.
• 13 Always stretch when project challenge increases.
• 14 Good knowledge in computer (MS-word/Excel/Power point) and structure drawing (Chem
