Job summary

Kotak Education Foundation in Mumbai seeks an experienced Research & Evaluation professional to oversee the annual research and evaluation plan, ensuring alignment with project design and monitoring of inputs/outputs across programs.

You will support field data collection through third-party agencies, coordinate with stakeholders for timely execution, and assist in reporting, capacity building, and MIS/data reviews to strengthen evaluation design.

Responsibilities

• 1. Align the annual plan with the project design, LFA, and ToC for various projects.
• 2. Track the project input and output as per the MERA annual plan.
• 3. Use checklist methods (before, during, and after plans) for each research and evaluation activity.
• 4. Submit weekly or monthly reports on project performance and key insights and gaps.
• 5. Adherence to the project-specific planner and coordination with different stakeholders for timely execution.
• 6. Coordinate with projects to facilitate the field data collection work undertaken by the third-party independent agency.
• 7. Support the monitoring team for any pilot testing or pre-testing for Edtech-based monitoring innovations.
• 8. Co-ordination with funder and third-party agency representatives for onboarding and execution of assessment as per multi-stakeholder plan.
• 9. Internal coordination with project teams for execution of impact evaluation as per the completion of the three-year project life cycle.
• 10. Monthly field visit log and report submission to manager.
• 11. Reporting of data quality assurance and gaps identified during field visits.
• 12. Weekly coordination and compliance report while working with the third-party independent agencies.
• 13. Organize and conduct field research data collection training and techniques for project field staff.
• 14. Participate in project trainings/orientations/MIS/data review to strengthen the research and evaluation design.
• 15. Training of the project data team on the standards of research and evaluation processes.
• 16. Contractual agreement or MoU processing with third-party agencies
