Job summary

Foodsure is seeking an experienced Research and Development Manager (Food Technologist) to lead end-to-end product development from concept to commercialization at our Noida site.

You will design formulations, oversee lab and pilot trials, coordinate scale-up with manufacturing partners, mentor R&D staff, and ensure regulatory compliance while translating client needs into market-ready foods.

Qualifications

• Strong R&D and food science background with end-to-end project experience.
• Proven leadership and ability to mentor R&D staff and coordinate teams.
• Excellent project management skills with multi-project delivery.
• Deep knowledge of food formulation, ingredient functionality, sensory evaluation, and scale-up.
• Familiarity with food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and QA practices in food & beverage.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Engineering, or related field.
• Ability to collaborate with founders, clients, and cross-functional teams, and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Role Description

The Research and Development Manager (Food Technologist) will lead end-to-end product development projects, from concept through commercialization, ensuring products are technically sound, scalable, and aligned with market needs. This full-time on-site role, based in Noida, involves designing and optimizing formulations, overseeing lab and pilot trials, and collaborating with manufacturing partners to ensure smooth scale-up. The role includes managing sensory evaluations, ensuring compliance with relevant food safety and regulatory standards, and maintaining documentation of formulations, processes, and test results. The manager will guide and mentor R&D team members, coordinate project timelines and resources, and work closely with founders, clients, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business objectives into innovative, commercially viable food and beverage solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong Research and Development (R&D) and Research skills, with experience in food technology or food science.
• Demonstrated Team Management and Team Leadership capabilities to guide, mentor, and develop R&D staff.
• Proven Project Management skills, including planning, prioritizing, and delivering multiple R&D projects on time.
• In-depth knowledge of food formulation, ingredient functionality, sensory evaluation, and scale-up from lab to manufacturing.
• Familiarity with food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance practices in the food and beverage industry.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate technical concepts clearly, and work effectively with founders and clients.
• Experience with functional foods, nutraceuticals, or emerging food categories is an advantage.
