Job summary

Parijat in India seeks an Executive - R&D for Chhattisgarh to lead field trials and data analysis in crop protection across the state.

The role requires MSc Agriculture or PhD, 2–4 years in agricultural field research, strong Excel/PowerPoint, travel across Chhattisgarh, and collaboration with Portfolio and R&D leadership.

You will design protocols, collect data, prepare summaries, and provide agronomic insights to improve products.

Qualifications

• M.Sc. Agriculture or Ph.D. in Agriculture is required.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in agricultural field research.
• Experience in field trial design and data recording.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and monitor field trials for herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, PGRs, and other crop protection products across Chhattisgarh.
• Conduct field trials in accordance with approved protocols, GEP, and company standards to ensure accurate, reliable data.
• Collect, record, analyze, and validate field trial data with complete, well-organized documentation.
• Prepare technical reports, trial summaries, data analyses, and presentations for the Portfolio Manager and R&D leadership.
• Provide regular updates to the Zonal field trial manager and Portfolio Manager on trial progress, observations, challenges, milestones, and recommendations.
• Organize and conduct product demonstrations, field days, and technical showcases for Sales and Marketing teams.
• Monitor crop growth stages, weed flora, pests and diseases, weather conditions, and crop response during trials.
• Generate technical recommendations and agronomic insights based on observations and product performance.
• Manage procurement, storage, inventory, and utilization of trial materials, chemicals, and equipment.
• Maintain accurate trial records and ensure timely submission of reports, photos, and supporting documentation.
• Travel extensively across Chhattisgarh to supervise trial sites, demonstrations, and provide technical support.
• Investigate product complaints, identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and submit investigation reports to Portfolio Manager.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for data analysis and reporting.
• Possess strong communication, technical writing, and presentation skills for interaction with farmers, distributors, and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plan, execute, and monitor field trials for herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, plant growth regulators (PGRs), and other crop protection products across Chhattisgarh.
2. Conduct field trials in accordance with approved protocols, Good Experimental Practices (GEP), and company standards to ensure accurate, reliable, and high-quality data.
3. Collect, record, analyze, and validate field trial data while maintaining complete, accurate, and well-organized documentation.
4. Prepare technical reports, trial summaries, data analyses, and professional presentations for the Portfolio Manager and R&D leadership.
5. Provide regular updates to the Zonal field trial manager & Portfolio Manager on trial progress, key observations, challenges, milestone achievements, and recommendations.
6. Organize and conduct product demonstrations, field days, and technical showcases for the Sales and Marketing teams.
7. Monitor crop growth stages, weed flora, insect pest and disease incidence, weather conditions, and crop response throughout the trial period.
8. Generate technical recommendations and agronomic insights based on trial observations, product performance, and local agronomic conditions.
9. Manage the procurement, storage, inventory, and proper utilization of trial materials, chemicals, and equipment.
10. Maintain accurate trial records and ensure the timely submission of reports, photographs, and all supporting documentation.
11. Travel extensively across Chhattisgarh to supervise trial sites, monitor demonstrations, interact with farmers, and provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders.
12. Investigate product complaints, identify the root cause, recommend appropriate corrective actions, and submit detailed investigation reports to the Portfolio Manager.
13. Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, for data analysis, reporting, and presentations.
14. Possess strong communication, technical writing, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with farmers, distributors, and cross-functional teams.
