Purpose – CEEW is seeking a motivatedResearch Analyst / Programme Associate to join the Technology Futures team to support research on enhancing domestic value addition across critical mineralvalue chains, including mineral exploration, mining, processing, and recycling, and to analyse their implications for India's clean energy and industrialsectors. The candidates will be expected to develop expertise in mineral usecases beyond clean energy and assess how competing applications may impactIndia's energy transition. The role requires a strong interest in the technicalaspects of critical mineral value chains, along with the ability to understandeconomic and trade dynamics, connect interdisciplinary insights, and providewell-informed recommendations. The analysis will support evidence-baseddecision-making by government and industry stakeholders.

Position: Research Analyst / Programme Associate – Exploration and Mining

Focus areas include:

• Understandingof mineral formations & stratigraphy
• Mineralexploration technologies and geoscience applications
• Miningtechnologies, planning, and productivity
• Resourceestimation, beneficiation, and ore upgrading
• Digitaland AI-enabled systems for exploration and mining operations
• Environmental,safety, and regulatory considerations in mining

Job Duties andAccountabilities

• Conduct literatureand market research on critical minerals, technologies, and supply chains.
• Collect,structure, and analyse quantitative and qualitative data.
• Design andimplement data collection approaches, including surveys and interviews.
• Developmodels, visualisations, and analytical tools to support research outputs.
• Mapinfrastructure, capabilities, and skills for domestic manufacturing ecosystems.
• Develop andmaintain stakeholder networks with industry, academia, and government.
• Drafthigh-quality research outputs, presentations, and policy briefs.
• Ensurequality, rigour, and accuracy of research deliverables.
• Contribute toorganising workshops, roundtables, and stakeholder consultations.
• Participatein relevant conferences, training programmes, and outreach activities.
• Support project management and documentationas required.

Selection Criteria – Education & Experience

• For Research Analyst: 1–3 yearsof relevant experience, including internships, research assistantships,academic projects or working in technical / management consulting.
• For Programme Associate: 3–7years of relevant experience, including internships, research assistantships,academic projects or working in technical / management consulting.
