Job summary

Jobtailor in India is seeking an experienced Investment Research Professional to support monitoring of alternative investments, perform due diligence, and maintain research databases. The role involves data gathering, analysis, and collaboration with manager research teams.

You will prepare reports, dashboards, and materials, assist with onboarding and ad hoc projects, and contribute to private markets research across private equity, private credit, and real assets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in investment research, due diligence, or alternative investments.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), preferably in Finance, Economics, Investments, or related field
• Active Series 7 license or ability to obtain within 120 days
• CFA and/or CAIA designation, or an interest in pursuing one
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage work independently and prioritize effectively
• Demonstrated knowledge of alternative investment strategies and structures
• Prior experience conducting research on private markets (private equity, private credit, real assets)

Responsibilities

• Support quarterly and ongoing monitoring of alternative investment offerings by gathering, validating, and analyzing performance, asset, distribution, redemption, and portfolio-level data
• Prepare recurring research reports, dashboards, and analytical materials using internal systems and third-party data sources
• Assist with due diligence by reviewing offering documents, RFIs, marketing materials, and manager communications and extracting key information
• Coordinate and maintain investment research databases, due diligence records, SharePoint sites, and document repositories
• Support manager onboarding, product review, and completion memo processes through data collection, drafting, and documentation
• Assist with ad hoc analytical projects, including portfolio construction, holdings analyses, risk metrics, and other investment-related research
• Support recurring private alternatives reporting, including industry data gathering, performance benchmarking, and market intelligence reporting
• Participate in manager meetings and introductory calls, documenting key discussion points and maintaining organized records
• Coordinate the distribution, collection, and tracking of due diligence questionnaires, RFI responses, and related materials
• Partner with investment research professionals across multiple manager research disciplines on team initiatives and cross-functional projects
