Associate Director of Novartis Core Infrastructure Services/Engineering organization is responsible for execution, continuous improvement, service delivery, and operations of a specific function/platform. OR develop and maintain a technology roadmap supporting the Service Strategies of the respective function/platform.

Oversee the operational health, deployment, and lifecycle of technology and/or platform solutions OR design and deploy technology solutions, acting as L4 support during major incidents.

Automate service deployments and management to enable modern delivery flows including DevOps and SRE, aiming for efficiency, flexibility, and speed at the lowest cost.

Recruit, coach, and mature a high-performing team that delivers on business and technology objectives. Drive change and culture change by adhering to and evangelizing Novartis values and behaviors.

Major accountabilities:

Manage service operations and/or technology governance, including external and internal interfaces, according to service management processes.
Manage a team of individual contributors for Core Infrastructure Services, allocating resources for operations and ensuring effective service delivery.
Responsible for a technology stack or platform, with limited direct people leadership.
Contribute to technical architecture activities within the responsible domain.
Manage suppliers to ensure quality service delivery and contractual compliance; track and report on supplier performance.
Support recruitment, hiring, management, and coaching of a globally distributed team of technology professionals.
Develop input for the service-platform strategy development.
