  • 15+ years of banking experience in a risk or compliance role at a large financial institution implementing and overseeing BSA/AML and Sanctions/OFAC programs, Payments, and related compliance functions.
  • Deep knowledge of BSA/AML, OFAC, and payments regulatory frameworks (FFIEC, OCC, FinCEN, Treasury/OFAC, Fed rules, CFPB guidance).

Responsibilities

  • Design and lead the second-line BSA/AML and OFAC/Sanctions program across the organization.
  • Interpret regulatory changes and support implementation for AML, sanctions, payments, and rising financial crime risks.
  • Provide effective challenge and governance across first and second line AML, sanctions, and financial crime controls.
  • Strengthen AML/Sanctions risks and controls within the Risk Management framework.
  • Governance and oversight of transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and model risk management activities.
  • Act as the compliance advisor to Payments and other segments on AML, sanctions, payments, and regulatory risks.
  • Support development and enhancement of payment risk assessments (wires, ACH, RTP, digital payments).
  • Collaborate with business units to mitigate operational processes and back-office risks.
  • Advise on regulatory-aligned operational changes and new payment capabilities.
  • Contribute to design and delivery of AML/Sanctions training programs.

About the position
