Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy in Dahej, India seeks a proactive Prepress Workflow Specialist to identify and lead improvements in prepress processes, automate where possible, and align with the production schedule for on-time delivery.

You will coordinate with design, repro, and customer service, maintain issue logs, ensure artwork readiness, manage consumables, and assist customers with printing requirements while updating software in the repro department.

Qualifications

• Experience in prepress workflow optimization and automation.
• Strong coordination and communication with production and customer service.
• Ability to monitor artwork readiness and ensure adherence to customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Identify and lead development and implementation of prepress workflow improvements and automation.
• Maintain tracking of daily work orders aligned with production schedule and on-time delivery.
• Communicate project details and job status with managers and customer service.
• Coordinate with customers regarding problems or questions as needed.
• Record downtime and corrective actions taken.
• Ensure artwork is prepared per customer needs for printing.
• Assist customers with all printing requirements.
• Oversee maintenance of repro department machines.
• Update repro software with management approval.
• Order consumables and verify before use for quality output.
• Support continuous improvement of customer supply chains in repro/design.
• Ensure adherence to departmental procedures and drive improvements.
• Utilize Flexo Plate making, Esko, and Packaging & Labeling Software.

Job description

Identify and lead the development and implementation of Prepress workflow process improvements and automation.

Responsible for devising a tracking system of daily work orders in correlation with the production schedule and on-time delivery to the customers.

Maintain consistent communications of project details and scheduled job status with other managers and customer service.

Communicate with customers regarding any problems, questions, or concerns if required.

Record problems, such as downtime, and the actions taken.

Monitor and ensure that the artwork for printing is prepared as per the customer's needs.

To assist customers with all aspects of their printing requirements.

Oversee the maintenance of machines in the repro department.

Update the software required in the repro department with approval from the management.

In charge of ordering consumables (Plates, chemicals, Screens, papers, toners, cartridges) and checking before using them for quality output.

Assist in the continuous improvement of customer supply chains to the repro/design process to improve operational efficiency and customer service.

Ensure that the department's procedures are followed maintained and further developed when required.
