Job summary

Zensar Technologies is seeking storage and backup SME to support and stabilize complex environments. You will work across Windows, Linux, iSeries, AIX and Solaris, with on-premise and cloud storage platforms, and coordinate with vendors to ensure reliable delivery.

Responsibilities include design and implementation of storage solutions, capacity planning, and proactive monitoring, with a focus on global engagement support and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience across storage and backup subsystems at Level 2 support.
• Proficiency with multiple backup platforms and on-premise & cloud deployments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, AIX, Solaris, DB/2, Oracle, Exchange and SQL.
• Hands-on with on-premise and cloud storage forms including VMware Datastores and HCI.
• Ability to design and implement storage backup solutions and improve services.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 steady state support for storage and backup subsystems.
• Maintain and optimize storage environments, perform log analysis and monthly reports.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware maintenance and patching.
• Ensure SOE images are up-to-date and follow ITIL processes.

Experience with both storage & backup subsystem to provide Level 2 Steady State support.

• Knowledge on various backup platform Rubrik, TSM, Backup Exec backup platform – on-premise & cloud is must
• Must have experience with Windows, Linux, iSeries, AIX, Solaris OS, DB/2, Oracle, Exchange, and SQL.
• Experience with various forms on data storage – on-premise (legacy storage systems, VMware Datastores & hyper-converged infrastructure) & Cloud
• Additional SME skills in crafting storage & backup solution for continuous service improvements would be beneficial. The positions require the ability to design, develop & implement solutions to stabilize customer environments
• Understanding of basic infrastructure and network connectivity
• Experience with Nutanix platform & storage management
• Basic hands-on on AWS & Azure platform
• SAN FC switching and zoning (Brocade and Cisco)
• LUN Configuration and management for Servers (AIX/LINUX/Windows/ESX)
• Experience with Dell/EMC/NetApp SAN & NAS storage
• Proactively maintain and manage the storage environment
• Log analysis and correlation of Monthly reports.
• Knowledge on AWS Storage S3, EBS, EFS and Glacier
• DR testing and taking ownership during such DR cycles.
• Monitoring and optimization of the performance, tuning, capacity planning, proactive monitoring and automation of storage Arrays.
• Strong problem solving & troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently as well as ability to collaborate across teams in support of complex global engagements. Ability to collaborate with peers and across teams
• Must have experience working with 3rd party vendors to provide hardware maintenance fixes.
• Understanding of ITIL process – Incident, Change, Problem Management process.
• Act as liaison with other IT support team members to resolve issues in a timely manner and ensure proper documentation, notification, escalation tracking and follow-ups of all incidents and requests
• Ensure to create and maintain Standard Operating Environment (SOE) image with up-to-date patches
• Proactively monitor the performance of storage/backup devices, desktop applications, identify RCA and make approve changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of applications"
