Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in Bengaluru is seeking a Repair Engineer with 6–12 years of aero repair experience. The role focuses on evaluating in-service damages, producing design justifications, and developing approved repairs for aircraft structures.

You will create repair docs, perform hand calculations, and coordinate with airworthiness authorities. The role offers exposure to SRM/ASR processes and growth opportunities in a global engineering environment.

Qualifications

• 6–12 years of Aero industry Repair experience.
• Experience providing design solutions for damages on aircraft primary and secondary structures.
• Experience creating repair docs (DB, AW, RD, TD, SAS, FAS, TAS).
• Know-how of in-service daily/major repairs and SRM/ASR processes.

Responsibilities

• Assess damage scenarios using aircraft configuration drawings.
• Perform hand calculations and/or computer-based analysis.
• Propose and evaluate structural repair solutions considering time, cost, and safety.
• Utilize existing airworthiness delegations to develop approved repairs for aerostructures.
• Prepare technical justification documents (Design and/or Stress).
• Prepare necessary approvals for repair solutions.
• Respond to customer technical queries related to repairs.
• Participate in internal knowledge-sharing and capability-building initiatives.

Your Role

The job holder is responsible to evaluate the effect of the in-service damages on the Design and Justification (Static and F&DT) and provide detailed justification on the acceptance of the component.

The various activities to perform are:

Creation of Database (DB), Repair Instruction/Answer (AW), Repair Drawing (RD), Technical Disposition (TD), Static Justification Sheet (SAS), Fatigue Justification Sheet (FAS) and Technical Approval Sheet (TAS).

In this role, you will:

• Assess damage scenarios using appropriate inputs and aircraft configuration drawings
• Perform hand calculations and/or computer-based analysis
• Propose and evaluate structural repair solutions considering time, cost, and safety
• Utilize existing technical and airworthiness delegations to develop approved repairs for aerostructures
• Prepare technical justification documents (Design and/or Stress)
• Prepare necessary approvals for repair solutions
• Respond to customer technical queries related to repairs
• Participate in internal knowledge-sharing and capability-building initiatives.

Your Profile

• 6-12 years of experience in Aero industry with Repair experience.
• • Experience of providing Design solutions for different damages on Aircraft primary and secondary structures.
  • Experience of Providing Static and Fatigue/Damage tolerance justification for design solutions for different damages on Aircraft primary and secondary structures.
  • Experience on Creation of Database(DB), Repair Instruction/Answer(AW), Repair Drawing(RD), Technical Disposition(TD), Static Justification Sheet (SAS), Fatigue Justification Sheet (FAS) and Technical Approval Sheet (TAS)
  • Experience on In-service Daily Repairs and Major Repairs
  • Experience on structural repair manual (SRM)/Air vehicle structure Repair (ASR)
  • Background in design and sizing of Aircraft primary structure components and parts.
  • A sound understanding of engineering materials and their applications
  • Good experience in hand calculation through classical approach
  • Static & Fatigue classical analysis
  • Basic knowledge on FEA
  • Knowledge of both metallic and composite materials
