About the job Remote Appian Developer (Freelance)

We are seeking an experienced Appian Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in system integration, mobile application, portal application, and extended interface application development using the Appian suite. Appian L2 (or above) certification is mandatory for this role. The candidate should have worked on at least two Appian BPM implementations and possess strong problem‑solving and design skills. Additionally, a good understanding of Appian architecture, best practices, and BPMN standards is required.

Must-Have Skills

• Appian L2 (or above) certification.
• Experience in system integration, mobile application, portal application, and extended interface application development using Appian suite.
• Strong problem‑solving and design skills.
• Good understanding of Appian architecture, best practices, and BPMN standards.
• Experience in Appian plug‑in development, system integrations, and production support in in‑house and cloud‑hosted environments.
• Ability to convert business process requirements to prototypes and screen flows for demonstration to business clients.
• Experience with relational databases management systems, data modeling, database design, and Structured Query Language (SQL).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Good‑to‑Have Skills

• Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodology.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced work environment.
• Advanced knowledge of Java is a plus.
• Hands‑on experience with Appian upgrades and hotfix installations.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain user accounts, assign file permissions, and establish password and account policies.
• Install, upgrade, configure, test, maintain, and support operating system software in a production environment.
• Provision, install, configure, operate, and maintain systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure.
• Review performance logs and monitor system performance, troubleshoot and resolve system hardware, software, and communications problems.
• Create shell programs and utility scripts, perform configurations and adjustments to enhance database file capacity, and perform automated and manual backup and restore processes.
• Install, configure, and test software packages, and participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.

Certifications Required

• Appian Certified Application Developer.

Desired Experience

• Hands‑on experience with Appian upgrades and hotfix installations.
• Experience in design, implementation, monitoring, and troubleshooting infrastructure in a Linux environment.
• AWS certification is preferred.
