Job summary

Amazon India Limited is seeking a Reliability & Maintenance Engineer to manage facility and admin activities, including preventive maintenance, electrical and mechanical systems, and vendor coordination in Surat, Gujarat. The role emphasizes safety and reliability for production support.

The candidate should have 1+ years in conveyors/automation maintenance, be fluent in English, and comfortable with MS Office tools; electrical, mechanical, instrumentation and control knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of conveyors/automation/control systems maintenance experience.
• Speak, write, and read fluently in English.
• Experience in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics and Communication/Instrumentation and Controls.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Daily, Weekly, Monthly technical checks per PPM schedule.
• Attend TT calls for corrective maintenance, service and repair works.
• Coordinate with vendors for systems under warranty/AMC.
• Take energy consumption readings and monitor DG maintenance.
• Maintain and troubleshoot all conveyor systems, electrical and mechanical.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot power distribution systems and wiring.
• Handle relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components and sensors.
• Provide daily reports on TT closures, open cases and RCA.
• Update tools inventory and perform PPM schedule maintenance.
• Oversee soft services like pest control, housekeeping, scrap & garbage disposal.
• Manage agency staff and overall shift.

• Co-ordinate with vendor for systems under warranty/AMC.

• Ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, and wiring methods and material.
• Ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components-- photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, Servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tacks, and encoders 6.
• Dedicated to supporting production by working in a safe, customer focused manner.
• Minor refurbishment and upgrade work for building finishes, fixtures, fittings and equipment, fixed furniture and OPS equipment like Trolley, Cages, Carts
• Fire Alarm & Fire extinguishers regular checks.
• Maintenance, oiling, greasing of carts, trolleys, pump, rolling shutters.
• Attending regular Electrical works
• Height work, hot work permit to issue.
• Minor Civil & Plumbing Corrective maintenance calls.
• Provide daily reports on TT closures & open cases & RCA.
• Tools inventory update.
• PPM schedule maintenance.
• Taking care of Soft services activities i.e. Pest control, Housekeeping, Scrap & Garbage disposal.
• Handling agency staff & overall shift.

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of conveyors/automation/control systems maintenance experience
• Speak, write, and read fluently in English
• Experience in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics and Communication/Instrumentation and Controls
• Experience working with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience
