Deutsche Bank – Private Bank (TDI) is seeking a Release Manager to orchestrate the software delivery lifecycle from development to deployment. You will plan releases, coordinate dependencies, and ensure high quality and timely delivery for the securities business of Private Customers.

Role Overview

As a Release Manager at Deutsche Bank - Private Bank (TDI), you will play a crucial role in orchestrating the entire software delivery lifecycle, planning and coordinating releases from development to deployment. Your main focus will be on ensuring high quality, stability, and timely delivery of applications for the securities business of Private Customers. By working in an Agile DevOps model, you will actively contribute to process improvement and internalizing engineering know-how. Your responsibilities will include defining release scope, schedules, and readiness criteria, managing dependencies, resolving issues, and making critical go/no-go decisions. Clear communication with stakeholders and continuous improvement will be key aspects of your role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with product owners and stakeholders to understand release goals, features, and desired outcomes.
  • Accompany multiple intertwined subprojects and combine them into successful application releases.
  • Create detailed release schedules, timelines, and milestones, covering all phases from development to deployment.
  • Identify and coordinate necessary resources for each release, including people, environments, and tools.
  • Determine the frequency and type of releases (e.g., major, minor, hotfix) and set clear criteria for progression.
  • Oversee and coordinate all activities across development, QA, operations, and other teams involved in the release process.
  • Track progress, identify and address deviations or delays, manage dependencies, and ensure correct environments.
  • Make go/no-go decisions, proactively identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and elevate when necessary.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, provide regular updates, create release notes, and improve release processes.
  • Implement release tools, ensure compliance with IT policies, foster collaboration, and mentor teams on best practices.
Qualification Required
  • Minimum 9 years experience in a Release Manager role, with ITIL knowledge being a plus.
  • Understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, DevOps) and CI/CD concepts.
  • Proficiency in Version Control Systems (e.g., Git), Deployment Tools (e.g., Ansible, Kubernetes), and Cloud Basic scripting skills for automation, familiarity with monitoring tools, and experience with SDLC/DevOps tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, proactive team player, excellent communication, and English language skills.
  • Experience working with Agile/SCRUM teams and their methods and tooling.
