ROLE PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE

Join Ujjivan Small Finance Bank's WEST BUSINESS department as a key contributor focused on driving growth and managing relationships within the Agri SME lending segment. This role demands a strategic and customer-centric professional who can effectively assess creditworthiness, structure tailored financial solutions, and foster long-term partnerships with agricultural small and medium enterprises. The position requires deep understanding of the agricultural sector, SME financing dynamics, and regulatory frameworks, combined with strong analytical and interpersonal skills to support the bank's mission of financial inclusion and sustainable business growth in the region.

Key Duties And Responsibilities Of The Role

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Agri SME clients to understand their financial needs and business challenges.
• Conduct detailed credit appraisals and risk assessments for loan proposals in the agricultural SME sector, ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Structure customized lending solutions that align with clients’ cash flow patterns and business cycles in agriculture.
• Collaborate with internal teams including credit, risk, and operations to facilitate smooth loan processing and timely disbursal.
• Monitor portfolio performance regularly, identifying early warning signals and implementing corrective actions to minimize non-performing assets.
• Drive business growth by identifying new lending opportunities within the Agri SME segment and expanding the client base in the WEST BUSINESS region.
• Educate clients on various banking products and services to enhance their financial literacy and promote cross-selling opportunities.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on portfolio status, market trends, and client feedback to senior management.
• Ensure adherence to all regulatory and compliance requirements related to agricultural SME lending.
• Participate in community outreach and networking events to strengthen the bank’s presence and reputation in the agricultural sector.

Educational Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in agricultural lending or SME credit management within the banking or financial services industry.
