Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Agri SME clients to understand their financial needs and business challenges.
- Conduct detailed credit appraisals and risk assessments for loan proposals in the agricultural SME sector, ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Structure customized lending solutions that align with clientscash flow patterns and business cycles in agriculture.
- Collaborate with internal teams including credit, risk, and operations to facilitate smooth loan processing and timely disbursal.
- Monitor portfolio performance regularly, identifying early warning signals and implementing corrective actions to minimize non-performing assets.
- Drive business growth by identifying new lending opportunities within the Agri SME segment and expanding the client base in the WEST BUSINESS region.
- Educate clients on various banking products and services to enhance their financial literacy and promote cross-selling opportunities.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on portfolio status, market trends, and client feedback to senior management.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory and compliance requirements related to agricultural SME lending.
- Participate in community outreach and networking events to strengthen the banks presence and reputation in the agricultural sector.
Minimum Requirements of Knowledge and Skills Educational Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Agriculture, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in agricultural lending or SME credit management within the banking or financial services industry.
