Job summary

Star Union Dai-ichi Life Insurance (SUD Life) is seeking a Front Line Sales professional for Bancassurance to build strong relationships with partner banks across India and drive new business and renewals.

The role focuses on promoting the company’s products through branch-level engagement, managing leads, ensuring smooth documentation, and delivering exceptional customer service within the assigned bank cluster.

Qualifications

• Minimum Graduate or any bachelor’s degree.
• 1-6 years of experience in Insurance and Banking.
• Below 40 years of age preferred.

Responsibilities

• Achieving and exceeding new business targets through partner bank branches.
• Ensure sales and service support within the cluster assigned, including documentation and policy issuance.
• Facilitate renewal premium collections and customer service.
• Maintain daily activity records, leads, and participate in branch events.
• Promote SUD Life brand and its products within the branch network.
• Coordinate exhibitions, customer meets, and cluster meets with supervising officials.
• Provide daily MIS/daily performance reports.

Role: Front Line Sales - Bancassurance

Reporting to: Territory Manager

Job Overview

Building and maintaining excellent relationships with the partner bank officials (Union Bank & Bank of India) at the Branch level. Promoting sales and achieving targets set by the company in respect of new business, renewal persistency and promoting the companys brand image within the given cluster of branches.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Achieving and exceeding new business targets (new business as well as renewals) through the assigned partner bank branches
• Ensure sales & service support within the cluster assigned viz. closing sales calls, aiding in the completion of documentation, facilitating pre-insurance medical examination, and scrutiny of the proposal papers to minimize the turnaround time in policy issuance
• Facilitating renewal premium collections and customer service
• Sales Management - Keeping records of daily activities, leads generated and closed, and special programs such as Bima Bazaars, and branch meetings
• Ensuring that SUDs brand and its products are continually promoted
• Promoting the brand image of the Company and implementing all initiatives of the Company related to brand-building exercises, as well as maintaining excellent relationships with the bank personnel
• Arranging exhibitions, customer meets, cluster meets etc. in consultation with the supervising officials
• Providing daily MIS/ daily reports of performance to ones supervising officials

Stakeholder Management

• All Leaders across the function including TM, AM, RM, and ZM
• Buddy Insurance Trainees if any

Qualifications and Requirements
