Job summary

Growth For Impact in Mumbai seeks a data governance and regulatory reporting professional with 2–3 years of experience to partner with business and technology stakeholders. You will interpret requirements for developers, manage tight deadlines, and ensure data integrity for accurate regulatory submissions.

You will drive data quality, lineage, and reporting accuracy while supporting process migration and offshoring initiatives.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Apply specialty area knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analyzing, and evaluating processes and data.
• Review policies to understand the reports that are needed.
• Interpret complex data sets, identify trends, and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Research and interpret factual information, often requiring deep dives into transactional data.
• Identify data inconsistencies, define business issues, and formulate policy recommendations.
• Prepare and file regulatory reports based on predefined metrics or KPIs.
• Ensure accuracy, timeliness and completeness of regulatory reports; perform validation and reconciliation.
• Monitor regulatory changes and update process notes accordingly.
• Analyze complex data sets to identify factors contributing to variances and perform root cause analysis.
• Provide data-driven insights on processes and improvement/automation opportunities.
• Maintain detailed records for reports and regulator queries.
• Support/offshore migration initiatives with detailed process documentation and risk mitigation.

ROLE

• – Applies specialty area knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analyzing, and/or evaluating processes and data
• – Reviews policies to understand the reports that are needed
• – Interprets complex data sets, identifies trends, and makes data-driven recommendations
• – Researches and interprets factual information, often requiring deep dives into transactional data
• – Identifies inconsistencies in data or results, defines business issues, and formulates recommendations on policies, procedures, or practices
• – Prepares and files various Bank Regulatory Reports based on predefined metrics or KPIs
• – Ensures accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of Regulatory Reports, performing thorough validation and reconciliation
• – Monitors changes in regulatory requirements and updates process notes accordingly
• – Analyzes complex data sets to identify factors contributing towards variances, performing root cause analysis and impact assessment
• – Provides data-driven insights on process and recommendations for improvement/automation, leveraging analytical findings
• – Maintains detailed records for reports submitted and queries received from the regulator
• – Supports or leads process migration/offshoring initiatives, including detailed documentation of processes, identifying and addressing transition risks, and securing necessary internal approvals
• – Effectively identifies and mitigates risks/issues while ensuring continued compliance with internal and regulatory requirements
• – Performs advanced data analysis to monitor and track data quality and completeness of data

REQUIREMENTS

• – 2-3 years’ experience and ability to partner with business & technology stakeholders
• – Strong ability to interpret business requirements for the purpose of liaising with technology developers
• – Experience managing tight deadlines or unexpected requirement changes
• – Background in Data Analytics strongly preferred, with a focus on data integrity and reporting accuracy
• – Proven experience in supporting or actively participating in process migration, offshoring, or re-engineering projects
• – Understanding of data governance principles, data quality frameworks, and data lineage in a complex organizational environment
• – Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
