Mphasis is seeking a Regulatory Trade Reporting Specialist in Bengaluru to support the Regulatory Reporting Operations team, drive initiatives, and partner with technology to ensure readiness for reporting changes.

The role emphasizes risk awareness, governance compliance, and effective collaboration with external counterparties and industry forums. A strong background in regulatory reporting and related controls is required.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA/BBA or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in regulatory reporting, risk management, compliance, audit, control preferred.
  • Regulatory reporting awareness of major regimes (MiFID II, EMIR, CFTC, CSA, MAS, ASIC, HKMA, SFTR) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of industry regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to a wide variety of initiatives as a dependable resource.
  • Maintain working knowledge of process operating/IT changes deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Support regulatory reporting operations with daily issues and escalations.
  • Oversee regulatory reporting initiatives and coordinate with business and tech teams.
  • Manage design and implementation of scalable regulatory reporting solutions.
  • Conduct root cause and gap analyses; document requirements and manage enhancements.
  • Ensure changes comply with governance, risk, and control frameworks.
  • Represent the firm with external counterparties and industry forums.
  • Take on additional responsibilities to support team objectives.

Job description

As a Regulatory Trade Reporting Specialist,

  • Support the Regulatory Reporting Operations team with day-to-day issues and escalations, while partnering with project teams and technology to ensure operational readiness for initiatives impacting reporting processes.
  • Provide oversight of key regulatory reporting initiatives, interpret regulatory requirements and coordinate with business and technology teams to implement required changes.
  • Serve as project manager for the design and implementation of efficient, scalable regulatory reporting solutions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with industry best practices.
  • Conduct root cause and gap analyses, gather and document business requirements, design solutions, and manage the regulatory reporting enhancement pipeline through stakeholder prioritization.
  • Ensuring all changes affecting reporting obligations comply with established governance, risk, and control frameworks, promoting a culture of risk awareness and accountability.
  • Represent the firm with external counterparties and industry forums, providing subject matter expertise and identifying opportunities to strengthen internal reporting practices.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support team and organizational objectives.

Education / Experience
  • BS, BA, BBA, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in regulatory reporting, risk management, compliance, audit, control experience preferred.
  • Regulatory reporting awareness and exposure to any of the following: MiFID II, EMIR, CFTC, CSA, KRX, MAS, ASIC, HKMA, SFTR regulations is preferred.
  • Knowledge of industry regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to a wide variety of initiatives as a dependable and flexible resource.
  • Maintain working knowledge of overall process operating/IT model and assist with deployment of operational changes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications – PP, Teams, Word, Excel, Access
