Job summary

Casa of Hobart is seeking a nursing supervisor to coordinate total customer care and supervise nursing units. The role involves directing staff, rounds, and ensuring high-quality geriatric care across shifts.

The position requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, clinical experience in geriatrics, and strong knowledge of nursing theory and practice. Responsibilities include daily staffing, emergencies, and maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Must have thorough knowledge of nursing theory, techniques and practices.

• Verifies daily staffing and redistribution, as necessary;
• Collaborates with all charge nurses daily, to exchange information regarding
• Makes rounds, morning and night, to assess customers' condition, giving special attention to critically ill customers;
• Answers any/all emergencies throughout the shift (i.e., change of customer condition, starting IV's, pronouncement of death);
• Assists in assuring a safe and sanitary environment for customers, employees, and visitors;

Performs Related Duties

• The RN/LPN interacts with customers, families, visitors, center and Care Center Facility subsidiary personnel.
• He/She carries out other tasks as requested in situations where hands-on intervention/participation may be required.
