Job summary

PeopleStrong in Mumbai is seeking a Regional Head to lead a team of 30+ Branch Managers, driving revenue growth, ensuring compliance and delivering quality service across the region.

You will coordinate Branch operations with regional staff in Business Development, Operations and Recovery, HR & Administration, guiding branches to meet targets, optimize costs, and manage risk through effective governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 10+ years of experience in NBFC/banking focusing on gold loan operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team of Branch Managers and Area Managers to achieve regional targets and ensure profitability and productivity.
• Drive gold loan and other loan products targets for quarters and fiscal year, ensuring quality of collaterals.
• Ensure timely collections, reduce NPAs and manage recovery processes including court actions when needed.
• Ensure branch operations are compliant and processes followed, with robust customer service and grievance resolution.
• Cost optimization and budgeting at branch level, managing cash/bank balances and rentals.

Job description

To lead team of 30 or more Branch Managers for achieving business targets in terms of revenue generation, operational compliance, customer acquisition & retention, quality service to customers, asset quality portfolio and collection.

Lead and co-ordinate the team of regional corporate staff members in Business Development & Marketing, Operations &Recovery, Human Resources & Administration

Responsibilities

• Lead the team of Branch Managers as well as Area Managers in the region and guide them to achieve the Business targets, profitability and productivity targets as well as Operational efficacy. Innovate, plan & implement new ways & means to increase walk ins & attract new customers and retain existing ones and to convert non-BEP branches to BEP branches
• Achieve the targets of the Region for gold loans and other loan products for various quarters as well as for the financial year (FY)- ensure quality of collaterals/ ornaments pledged
• Achieve other business targets including SD and 3rdparty products for various quarters as well as FY
• Timely interest collection by branches and recovery of overdue- minimizing NPA status of accounts as well as auction of gold
• Ensuring operational efficiency of branches and ensuring systems and procedures are followed by branch staff
• Ensuring prompt and efficient customer service by branches- prompt resolution of grievances/ customer complaints if any in the region
• Minimizing loss on account of Spurious/ Low purity and theft ornaments and efforts for recovery follow up of court cases related to these
• Prompt reporting of any fraud/ any untoward incident/ enquiry or investigation by any outside agency to HO Ops Department as well as State Head (SH) simultaneously
• Timely rectification of observations of gold inspector/ Internal auditor at branches
• Cost optimization on- control of branch expenses and control on cash/bank balances Correction of branch rentals wherever applicable and merger/ shifting of unviable branches
• Ensuring proper team building at branches, handholding BM and branch team, identify training needs and co-ordinate need-based training programs & facilitate proper marketing activities
