Job summary

Maswer in Chennai, India seeks an experienced project lead to manage multiple automotive customer projects and ensure successful delivery of objectives and commercial targets.

You will act as the Single Point of Contact for the customer, coordinating with internal teams, monitoring timelines, and driving profitability through effective resource and budget control. Travel across regions is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience managing large teams including frontline staff.
• Experience handling customers, especially Automotive OEMs.
• Knowhow of automotive quality systems, root cause analysis and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple customer projects for an automotive OEM ensuring delivery of objectives and commercial targets.
• Serve as the single point of contact for the customer with accountability for project outcomes.
• Drive commercial success by managing project resources, costs and profitability.
• Conduct regular cross-functional meetings with customer stakeholders to review status and updates.
• Monitor timelines and ensure milestones are achieved with high service quality and satisfaction.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare, maintain and present project performance reports and status updates as scheduled.
• Plan, recruit and allocate project resources for smooth execution and efficiency.
• Control project budgets, costs and expenses to meet financial objectives.
• Lead team development efforts and foster collaboration, capability building and high performance.
• Drive continuous improvement in delivery, operations and customer satisfaction.

• Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the customer, maintaining effective communication and accountability for project outcomes.
• Drive commercial success by effectively managing project resources, operational costs, and overall profitability
• Conduct regular cross-functional meetings with customer stakeholders to review project status, discuss challenges, and provide progress updates.
• Monitor timelines and ensure milestones are achieved while maintaining high standards of service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to identify root causes of issues and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions
• Prepare, maintain, and present project performance reports and status updates according to agreed schedules
• Plan, recruit, and allocate project resources to ensure smooth project execution and operational efficiency
• Control project budgets, costs, and expenses to achieve financial objectives and optimize resource utilization.
• Lead team development initiatives, fostering collaboration, capability enhancement, and high-performance culture

Competencies

• Experience of handling big team size including frontline staff is a must
• Experience of Customer handling, specially Automotive OEMs
• Knowhow of Automotive Quality Systems, Root cause analysis, Trouble-shooting is desired

Qualification

• B-Tech / Diploma in Automobile / Mechanical engineering with at least 6-8 years experience in Automotive Industry

• Should be flexible to travel extensively across the respective regions
