Job summary

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) in Odisha is seeking a site engineer to plan refractory lining and drive end-to-end project execution at the Paradeep site. You will handle day-to-day site issues, administration, and ensure timely delivery of activities.

You will also manage logistics for refractory materials, inspect quality, coordinate with clients and consultants, and liaise with internal functions to maintain smooth, productive operations with regular MIS updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of refractory lining for Coke Oven and Blast Furnace.
• Experience in construction/maintenance of capital refractory.
• Experience handling day-to-day site issues and administration.

Responsibilities

• Plan refractory lining and be responsible for end-to-end project execution and on-site administration.
• Manage logistics of refractory materials and inspect quality of works.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and internal functions for smooth operation.
• Interact regularly to ensure productive workflow and report progress (MIS) to stakeholders.

Role & responsibilities

• Shall be involved in Planning of Refractory Lining and will have end to end responsibility for project execution, handling day to day site related issues and administration


• Shall take care of Logistics of Refractory materials and will be required to carry out inspection to ensure quality of Refractory works.


• Shall also be responsible to handle Clients & Consultants and ensure proper co- ordination


• Shall regularly interact with internal related functions to ensure smooth operation with optimum productivity flow of work


• MIS on progress of work to stakeholders of project

Preferred candidate profile

• Must have knowledge of Refractory in Coke Oven, Blast furnace, Hot stove projects etc.


• Must possess knowledge in construction of Blast Furnace, maintenance of capital refractory etc.


• Should also have handled day to day project site issues and administration.


• Experience in Ferrous industry and with large project site will be an added advantage
