Job summary

JSW Steel in Mumbai is seeking a Refractory Engineer with 1–3 years of experience to join our operations team. You will oversee refractory materials, furnace lining, and process optimization to improve plant efficiency and equipment performance.

Immediate joiners are preferred. Responsibilities include planning installations, supervising maintenance, inspecting materials, coordinating with teams, and ensuring safety and quality standards, contributing to reduced downtime and improved furnace

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in refractory materials, furnace lining, and thermal insulation.
• Experience with iron & steel plant operations and process optimization.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; ability to prepare technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain refractory systems in furnaces and high-temperature equipment.
• Plan and supervise refractory installation, repair, and maintenance activities.
• Analyze refractory wear patterns and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure optimal furnace lining performance and thermal efficiency.
