Job summary

Sound & Vision Studios Pvt. Ltd in India is seeking a self-reliant sound engineer to support the recording team. You will assist with equipment setup, session preparation, and post-production editing and mixing to ensure high-quality output.

The role requires a certified sound engineer with knowledge of Pro Tools 10 and above and 0–10 years of experience. You will work closely with project managers and language QC teams to meet client specifications.

Qualifications

• Certified Sound Engineer with hands-on Pro Tools experience.
• 0–10 years of experience in Sound Engineering & Dubbing.
• Understanding of industry standards and client specs.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Setup & Maintenance: ensure all studio gear works correctly.
• Recording Session Management: prepare studio, regulate levels, and monitor sessions.
• Editing & Mixing: edit and mix audio tracks for post-production.
• Duplication & Archiving: reproduce, duplicate, and log recordings.
• Project Coordination: communicate with Project Manager and Language QC teams, ensure timely delivery.

About the Position

We are looking for a self-reliant sound engineer with a learning mindset. The person needs to be self-driven and passionate about learning. Initially, this role will assist the recording team in the following

Responsibilities

• Equipment Setup & Maintenance
• Ensure all studio equipment (microphones, consoles, software, etc.) is functioning correctly.
• Set up, test, and adjust recording equipment for sessions.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Recording Session Management
• Prepare the studio for recording sessions.
• Regulate volume levels and sound quality during recordings using control consoles.
• Edit and mix audio tracks (post-production).
• Separate instruments, vocals, and other sounds; combine them during mixing.
• Translate analogueto digital sound and synchroniseaudio with visual media.
• Duplication & Archiving
• Reproduce and duplicate sound recordings using editing and duplication equipment.
• Maintain logs of recordings and manage the audio library.
• Project Coordination
• Communicate with Project Manager and Language QC teams.
• Provide regular updates on project status and ensure timely delivery.
  

Requirements

• Certified Sound Engineer from a recognised institute, knowledge in Pro Tools 10 & above
  
• 0-10 years of experience in Sound Engineering & Dubbing
  
• Should have a fair understanding of the industry and technical expertise
  
• Sound engineers should be updated with client specs and requirements
