Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Chennai invites a Chartered Accountant with 5–10 years of MNC experience in finance & accounts to join our RTR team, focusing on journals, reconciliations, and close processes. You will work with SAP/Oracle, ensure IFRS/GAAP compliance, and deliver accurate balance sheet commentary for UK clients. Strong attention to detail and process improvement mindset required.

Qualifications

• CA qualification with 5–10 years of experience in MNC (BPO or captive).
• Proficiency in core accounting, IFRS and GAAP.
• Non-technical graduates in finance & accounts (B.Com, M.Com) eligible.

Responsibilities

• Handle core RTR tasks including journals and bank reconciliations.
• Perform month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and TB commentary.
• Work with SAP/Oracle ERP for financial processes.
• Provide accurate financial reporting and liaison with UK clients.

• Only CA qualified candidate - Mandatory
• Minimum 15 years of regular, full-time education (10 + 2 + 3)
• Non-technical graduation in finance & accounts stream- B.Com, M.Com or similar

Must Have:

• Qualified CA - Chartered Accountants with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in MNC (BPO or Captive) (only CA required/eligible)
• Proficiency in core accounting, accounting standards / IFRS / GAAP

Good-to-Have:

• SAP / Oracle end user experience
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; ensures facts are correct, complete and consistent
• SLA tracking & reporting, controls, compliance and policy adherence

Key Responsibilities:

• Core RTR experience (Journals, Bank Recs, Reporting, Balance Sheet Recs)
• Proficiency in core accounting, accounting standards, IFRS, GAAP.
• Expert conceptual understanding on Revenue Accounting, PPE, Variance Analysis, Trial Balance and B/S commentary
• Hands on experience in Journal, Month End activities, Book close and Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Working experience in SAP, Oracle Accounting ERPs
• Working experience in Balance sheet tools like Blackline, Trintech etc.
• Work allocation, managing exceptions, resolving queries,
• Review of complex activities, month close review meetings with business & retained accounting team review quality & compliance, SLA tracking & reporting, lead process improvements, Causal analysis i.e. Corrective and Preventive action
• To provide accurate and timely responses and communication with
• UK clients, responding to queries and requests as appropriate
• To work in partnership with colleagues to deliver good service
