Job summary

Unipath Specialty Laboratory Limited in Surat, Gujarat is seeking a Customer Service Executive to manage day-to-day sample handling, patient interactions and interdepartmental coordination in a busy diagnostic setting.

Responsibilities include maintaining stock of blood collection consumables, ensuring proper sample labeling, recording complaints, and supporting CAPA and QMS activities under the Laboratory In-charge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree required.
• Knowledge of blood collection and accession processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain adequate stock of blood collection tubes and consumables.
• Ensure proper sample labeling using legible handwriting or barcode identification.
• Send samples to respective departments for processing.
• Communicate special instructions to Doctor or Section Head and maintain records in Sample Register.
• Promptly report phlebotomy-related issues and patient complaints to LI or TM.
• Record patient complaints and communicate to Section Head and Reception team for action.
• Coordinate CAPA with top management and address non-conformities.
• Address issues of clotted, missing, or repeat samples and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain a positive, professional environment within the department.
• Ensure coordination with patients, colleagues, and other departments.
• Support implementation and maintenance of QMS per procedures.
• Perform any other duties assigned by higher authority.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain adequate stock of blood collection tubes (Plain, EDTA, Fluoride, and Citrate), cotton, bandages, micropore tape, urine containers, syringes, needles, stickers, IPA, and other required consumables.
• Ensure proper sample labeling using legible handwriting or barcode identification, and send samples to the respective departments for processing.
• Communicate any special instructions to the concerned Doctor or Section Head (SH) and maintain records of primary samples in the Sample Register.
• Promptly report phlebotomy-related issues, patient complaints, and repeat sample collection requirements to the Laboratory In-charge (LI) or Technical Manager (TM).
• Record patient complaints and communicate them to the Section Head and Reception team for appropriate action.
• Handle non-conformities and coordinate with top management to implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Respond promptly to issues related to clotted, missing, or repeat samples and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain a positive, supportive, and professional working environment within the department.
• Ensure effective and harmonious coordination with patients, colleagues, and other departments.
• Ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with established procedures.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the higher authority.
