Job summary

Apex Group is seeking a Real Assets Senior Associate in Hyderabad to lead private equity fund accounting, valuation support, and regulatory reporting with US GAAP/IFRS knowledge.

You will work on complex fund structures, investor economics, waterfalls, and carried interest calculations, while mentoring junior staff and driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in accounting/finance; CPA/ACA preferred.
• 5+ years in private equity fund accounting or alternatives.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS, ASC 946/820, waterfall mechanics, and investor economics.
• Proficiency in PE accounting platforms (Investran, eFront, Allvue) and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for fund structures, investor economics, waterfalls, and carried interest calculations.
• Provide guidance on complex accounting treatments (equalizations, FX remeasurement, side letter economics).
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements; validate capital activity and ensure compliance.
• Prepare and review quarterly/annual financial statements under US GAAP/IFRS; assist valuation processes.
• Support regulatory reporting (Form PF, Annex IV) and investor tax packs; participate in process improvements and automation.
• Coach junior accountants on technical accounting concepts and system usage; conduct training on fund structures and reporting standards.
