Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a QA/QC Engineer/Manager to execute quality assurance and control activities at the site for structural steel works. You will conduct regular inspections, coordinate with the execution team, maintain QA/QC documentation, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental norms.

The role involves reviewing QCPs, ITPs, and method statements, while monitoring testing equipment calibration and reporting non-conformities with timely corrective actions.

Qualifications

• ITI/ Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Proficiency in English and Hindi (verbal and written).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in structural steel QA/QC.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections and tests to ensure quality compliance with project specs and standards.
• Review and implement project Quality Control Plans (QCP), Inspection Test Plans (ITP), and Method Statements for civil activities.
• Monitor calibration status of testing equipment and ensure adherence to standards.
• Record non-conformities, initiate corrective/preventive actions, and ensure timely closure.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and site engineers to ensure understanding and adherence to quality requirements.

SECTION II: ROLE SUMMARY (Purpose of the Role)

Site (Structural Steel) is responsible for executing quality assurance and control activities at the site, ensuring all fabrication and erection works comply with project specifications, codes, and standards. The role involves regular inspections, coordination with the execution team, maintaining QA/QC documentation, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental norms.

SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES

Conduct regular inspections and tests on-site materials and construction activities to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.Review and implement project-specific Quality Control Plans (QCP), Inspection Test Plans (ITP), and Method Statements for all civil activities.Monitor and verify the calibration status of testing equipment and ensure all equipment used complies with relevant standards.Record and report non-conformities or deviations from design and specification, initiate corrective/preventive actions, and ensure timely closure.Coordinate with subcontractors and site engineers to ensure quality requirements are understood and adhered to during execution.
