Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior Business Consultant to drive transformation programs in the Global Delivery Services arm. You will gather and elicit requirements, write BRDs/FSDs, and run JAD sessions with stakeholders to shape future-state processes and product configurations.

The role blends business analysis with insurance domain knowledge to deliver high-value outcomes. You will collaborate with product design teams, provide consultancy, and support acceptance criteria throughout the project

Qualifications

• Experience in business transformation, upgrade and modernization programs in EY GDS context.
• Proficient in Requirements Gathering, Elicitation, BRDs and FSDs; capable of leading JAD sessions and workshops.
• Ability to define optimal future state operational process and related product configuration.
• Experience delivering requirement documents with dataflow and process diagrams.
• Ability to provide product consultancy and support testing/acceptance criteria.

Global Delivery Services refers to EY's worldwide network of service delivery centers. The GDS team plays an important role in EY’s strategy by ensuring effective support to EY’s growth agenda.

The Opportunity

Your Key Responsibilities

• Worked on multiple Business transformation, upgrade and modernization programs.
• Requirements Gathering, Elicitation –writing BRDs, FSDs. Conducting JAD sessions and Workshops to capture requirements and working close with Product Owner.
• Work with the client to define the most optimal future state operational process and related product configuration.
• Define scope by providing innovative solutions and challenging all new client requirements and change requests but simultaneously ensuring that client gets the required business value.
• Elaborate and deliver clearly defined requirement documents with relevant dataflow and process flow diagrams.
• Work closely with product design development team to analyse and extract functional enhancements.
• Provide product consultancy and assist the client with acceptance criteria gathering and support throughout the project life cycle.
• Responsible for decision-making, optimizing processes, resource management, and overseeing team management as needed for task execution.
• Accountable for allocating personnel, supervising team members, assigning tasks, ensuring that the team has the necessary tools and support to succeed in their roles and optimizing and evaluating their performance to meet organizational goals.

Skills And Attributes For Success

• Product Knowledge – Guidewire, Duckcreek, Exigent, Majesco. (Preferred Guidewire/Duckcreek)
• Strong skills in stakeholder management and communication.
• Should have end to end processes in P&C insurance domain.
• Data transformation, Business data modelling, Data mapping, transformation rules, data migration, data profiling, data visualisation, Tableau, Power-BI, Reporting, Basic understanding of SQL query
• AI and Gen AI use cases implementation, Understanding of AI architecture for AI Use cases
• Should be ready to work in flexible shifts (a good amount of overlap with US/UK hours).
• Good organizational and time management skills required.
• Should have good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Industry certifications AINS 21 - Property and Liability Insurance Principles, AINS 22 - Personal Insurance, AINS 23 - Commercial Insurance and AINS 24 - General Insurance for IT and Support Professionals will be added advantage.
• Additional experience in Life or other insurance domain is added advantage.
