Job summary

Payoneer is seeking a Seasoned Engineering Leader/Engineering Manager in Gurugram to drive high-performing software teams building its global payments platform.

You will collaborate with Product, Design/UX and DevOps, lead an autonomous team, and own design, development, testing and deployment, all while growing engineers and maintaining high standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years as software technocrat with C#, Node.js or any OOP language
• 2+ years managerial experience leading customer-facing products
• Experience with messaging queues or streams (RabbitMQ/SQS/Kafka)
• Broad knowledge of OOP and design patterns
• Experience with Microservices and engineering best practices (unit tests, code reviews)

We’re looking for a Seasoned Engineering Leader/ Engineering Manager to lead and build higher-performing teams with a drive for excellence and an out-of-the-box mindset to satisfy business needs in a complex payment solution environment.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with Product, Design/UX, DevOps, and other R& D teams.
• Lead an autonomous team of software engineers who are working closely with product management to achieve business goals.
• Put special focus on developing the team.
• Provide technical authority to your team by demonstrating a hands-on leadership style.
• Be responsible for the overall design, development, architecture, code quality, and production environment deployment of your team.

Requirements:

• 7 + years of experience as a software technocrat,using C#, Nodejs or any OOP Language, REST APIs, webhooks, and asynchronous communication with Queues/Streams (RabbitMQ and Kafka).
• 2+ years of experience with observability systems (Dynatrace, Grafana, etc. )
• 2+ years of managerial experience, leading development of customer-facing products- a must!
• Experience with messaging queues or streams such as RabbitMQ/SQS/Kafka.
• Broad knowledge of OOP and design patterns.
• Experience with Microservices.
• Experience in engineering best practices (writing unit tests, code reviews, testing coverage, agile methodologies).
• Team player attitude and mentality.
• Experienced and passionate about managing and growing people.
• Ambitious and eager to learn new things.

Not a must, but a great advantage:

• Experience with Redis or similar.
• Experience with ORM such as Entity Framework.
• Experience in building SaaS platforms in a cloud-based/hybrid environment.
