Job summary

PARALLEL WIRELESS INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED in Bengaluru is seeking a QA/Test Engineer focused on 5G NR and LTE testing. You will develop comprehensive test plans aligned with 3GPP standards and create robust test scripts.

The role requires hands-on scripting and ability to re-create complex scenarios to validate performance and interoperability. You will analyze logs, debug issues, and contribute to test strategy enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) or Master’s degree (M.E./M.Tech) in Electronics/Communication/Computer Science Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Go through 3GPP standards, architecture and design documents to create thorough test plans for 5G NR/LTE.
• Create test scripts using available test tools and familiarize with them to re-create scenarios.
• Build simple/complex test setups as per test cases and plan LTE/5G NR features per 3GPP/ORAN standards.
• Execute test cases and validate status based on expectations, debug issues from system and test logs to identify root causes.
• Strategize improvements to QA test planning and streamline deployment with Kubernetes-based setups.

Job description

What you’ll do:

• Going through 3GPP standards, architecture and design documents to come up with thorough and in-depth test plans for testing 5G NR/LTE
• Come with plans also to test PHY/ Stack algorithms and think from e2e Perspective.
• Creating test scripts using available test tools.
• This will involve getting familiarized with the test tools and figuring out innovative ways of re-creating practically possible scenarios.
• Ability to build simple/complex test setups as per the requirements of the test cases
• Creating test plans on LTE/ 5G NR features by following 3GPP and ORAN standards
• Executing test cases and validating the test status based on the expectations for the test case.
• Ability to fully understand system logs, test tool logs and use this understanding for debugging issues and identifying accurate root causes for the problems seen on the system under test or in the network
• Using the test expertise and identifying overall improvements and enhancements which are possible on the system
• Debugging field log/data and identifying potential problems and re-creating the same in lab
• Be able to strategize and implement new and efficient ways to streamline QA test planning and strategy.
• Be able to quickly root cause customer issues and replicate customer configs in lab environment in limited time, working rapidly to solve customer issues.
• Be hands on K8S deployment and be able to adapt deployment models to suite diff platforms, and work with other stakeholders to stabilize setups.

What you must have:

• 1- 3 years of experience in various protocols for interoperability, performance evaluation and troubleshooting issues of radio access technology.
• good experience in RAN (5G/ LTE ) Testing , Feature testing (Lab testing)
• Knowledge of message flows and parameters used in the messages for LTE/ 5G NR procedures
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Tcl
• Familiarity in creating complex test plans spanning 5G/4G features and root causing issues, Automation and Scripting is priority for this role.

Education Bachelor’s (B.E/ B.Tech ) or Master’s degree (M.E. or M.Tech .) in Electronics/Communication/Computer Science Engineering or equivalent training, education and experience.
