Job summary

Tally Solutions Pvt Ltd is seeking a Chartered Accountant with 6–8 years of post-qualification experience in financial reporting or controllership. You will own month-end close, consolidation, audits, and drive governance across multi-entity groups.

We value hands-on Ind AS expertise (115, 109, 116, 12) and familiarity with ITGC/IFC, P2P, O2C, and tax implications. Lead a small team, partner with auditors, and champion process automation within a product-led tech company.

Qualifications

• CA with 6-8 years post-qualification experience in financial reporting or controllership.
• Big-4 audit or controllership exposure in a multi-entity group incl. overseas subsidiaries.
• Strong command of Ind AS (115, 109, 116 and 12) and Schedule III of the Companies Act, 2013.
• Proven track record of owning month-end close and consolidation for a group of companies.
• Experience leading statutory audits end-to-end and closing them on schedule with minimal adjustments.
• Working knowledge of direct and indirect tax and their impact on financial statements.
• Hands-on experience with IFC, ITGC, internal audits and finance policy governance.
• Background in software product/technology companies is preferred.
• Experience with accounting systems; experience with TallyPrime is a plus.
• Experience leading and developing a team of two or more.
• Structured problem-solver with a strong bias for simplifying and automating processes.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and auditors.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close calendar for all entities, with defined owners and timelines.
• Review GL, provisions, prepaids, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, payroll and intercompany entries.
• Ensure accurate forex reinstatement and accounting for international subsidiaries.
• Deliver standalone and consolidated financial statements, including quarterly condensed financials.
• Own Ind AS positions (revenue and commission deferral, ECL, leases, investments, deferred tax) and disclosures.
• Provide inputs on quarterly revenue and expense projections for advance-tax computation.
• Plan and lead statutory audits for all group entities and drive timely closures.
• Coordinate internal audits, IFC testing and ITGC reviews, and close audit observations.
• Maintain finance policies and a single audit PBC tracker.
• Lead and coach the R2R and Reporting team with development plans and KPIs.
• Standardize close checklists and SOPs; partner with Finance Systems to automate reconciliations.
• Build strong relationships with Treasury, O2C, P2P, Tax, HR and Legal to resolve issues.

What We’re Looking For

Your Impact at Tally

Month-End Close & Record-to-Report

Own the month-end close calendar for all entities, driving faster and cleaner closes with defined owners and timelines.

Review GL, provisions, prepaids, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, payroll and intercompany entries.

Ensure accurate and timely forex reinstatement and accounting for international subsidiaries.

Deliver standalone and consolidated financial statements, including quarterly condensed financials.

Own Ind AS positions (revenue and commission deferral, ECL, leases, investments, deferred tax) and the related disclosures.

Provide inputs on quarterly revenue and expense projections for advance-tax computation.

Audit, Controls & Governance

Plan and lead statutory audits for all group entities, pulling the year-end timetable forward.

Coordinate internal audits, conduct IFC testing and ITGC reviews, and drive closure of audit observations.

Maintain finance policies (P2P, transaction execution, delegation of authority) and a single audit PBC tracker.

Team Leadership & Capability

Lead and coach the R2R and Reporting team, building individual development plans for each member.

Set KPIs for closure timelines reconciliation quality and audit adjustments and review them monthly.

Process, Systems & Automation

Standardize close checklists and SOPs to strengthen control over the book closure process.

Partner with the Finance Systems team to automate reconciliations and reporting within Tally products.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Work with Treasury, O2C, P2P, Tax, HR and Legal to resolve accounting issues before the monthly book closure.

Build effective working relationships with auditors and cross-functional stakeholders.
