Job summary

Indihire Consultants in Hyderabad is seeking an experienced general ledger accountant to maintain and review ledger accounts, with exposure to fixed assets or lease accounting. The role involves posting journals, performing month-end close, and reconciling balance sheet accounts.

The candidate will conduct period-end activities, ensure accurate postings across accruals, prepayments, provisions, and adjustments, and resolve reconciliation differences promptly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and review general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Experience in Fixed Assets or Lease Accounting
• Prepare, post, and review journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, provisions, reclassifications, and adjustments.
• Perform balance sheet and profit and loss account reviews.
• Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities within agreed timelines.
• Prepare and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries.
• Perform cut-off checks and ensure transactions are recorded in the correct accounting period.
• Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Perform bank, intercompany, suspense, accrual, and other general ledger reconciliations, as applicable.
• Identify reconciliation differences, investigate root causes, and ensure timely resolution.
