Job summary

Indihire Consultants is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to maintain and review general ledger accounts. You will prepare, post, and review journal entries including accruals, prepayments, provisions, and adjustments.

The role requires coordinating month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities within set timelines. You will perform varied reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and ensure accurate period postings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and review general ledger accounts for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare, post, and review journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, provisions, reclassifications, and adjustments.
• Perform balance sheet and profit and loss account reviews.
• Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities within agreed timelines.
• Prepare and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries.
• Perform cut-off checks and ensure transactions are recorded in the correct accounting period.
• Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Perform bank, intercompany, suspense, accrual, and other general ledger reconciliations, as applicable.
• Identify reconciliation differences, investigate root causes, and ensure timely resolution.
