Job summary

Prometo Consulting Pvt. Ltd. invites a Chemistry graduate to join as an R&D Trainee in Chennai (Padi). The role targets fresh graduates eager to contribute to formulation and development activities in brake lining and pad compounds.

You will assist in weighing, mixing, and preparation of raw materials, conduct simple lab trials, and help record data and observations as part of a growing R&D team.

Qualifications

• B.Sc Chemistry or M.Sc Chemistry required.
• Freshers are eligible for the role.

• Assist in formulation and development of brake lining and brake pad compounds per specifications.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Chemistry Graduate - (Formulation):

• 1. Assist in formulation and development of brake lining and brake pad compounds as per specifications.
• 2. Support weighing, mixing, and preparation of raw materials (resins, fibers, fillers, friction modifiers).
• 3. Conduct laboratory-level trials, sample preparation, and basic testing activities.
• 4. Record formulation data, test results, and observations accurately in lab sheets.
• 5. Assist in testing of friction, wear, hardness, density, and other physical properties.
• 6. Support validation trials and comparison of new formulations with existing products.
• 7. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety norms, and quality guidelines.
• 8. Coordinate with senior R&D engineers and production teams during trials and improvements.
