ROLE: Research & Development Manager - Seasonings

The purpose of the role:

This role involves using creative abilities and research methods to improve existing products based on industry trends and to develop new products that meet the needs of the company's target market.

Requirements:

• 10-12 years of experience.
• Knowledge of trends and developments in the market, especially in the use of seasonings.
• Sound knowledge of manufacturing processes, machinery, and equipment.
• Knowledge of the snack industry, seasoning ingredients, ingredient additives, HORECA, QSR, etc.
• Understanding of B2C models is an advantage.

Working Relationships:

• Reports to: Senior Manager, Regional R&D - Seasonings
• Geographic coverage: India
• Strong relationships required with other functions (R&D, Culinary, Sales)

Responsibilities:

1. Develop products based on opportunity briefs from customers, including creation and application.
2. Handle cost optimization, raw material rationalization, and process optimization for both new and existing products.
3. Drive innovation and collaborate with marketing for new product launches.
4. Localize global product recipes to meet target prices.
5. Provide input to the sales team regarding processing know-how and customer queries.
6. Work with customers on processing technical solutions.
7. Design application solutions based on users’ infrastructure and capabilities.
8. Understand Snack/QSR/OFS processors’ equipment and processes.
9. Understand different substrate bases used in Snack/QSR/OFS.
