Hitachi Energy in Bengaluru invites a senior engineer to lead the India R&D Industrialization team, driving industrialization and production readiness for PCS product platforms. Join our R&D team and lead the industrialization of high-power conversion platforms for renewable energy and energy storage applications. You will work in a global, cross-functional environment alongside R&D, operations, manufacturing, supply chain management, quality, product management, and suppliers to turn product designs and prototypes into safe, reliable, and scalable production. In this role, you will lead the India R&D Industrialization team, with primary responsibility for industrialization and subsequent support for current and future PCS product platforms. You will own manufacturing readiness, industrialization-lab capability, pilot builds, supplier and component qualification, engineering-change implementation, localization, cost reduction, and production ramp-up throughout the product lifecycle.
Lead the India R&D Industrialization team supporting current and future PCS product platforms, defining priorities, objectives, resource plans, competencies, and delivery commitments aligned with the global program roadmap. Build and execute the power converter industrialization roadmap, and own industrialization readiness across product documentation, manufacturing processes, assembly methods, tooling, fixtures, test infrastructure, quality gates, pilot builds, and production cut-in. Coordinate mechanical, electrical, controls-related, and process industrialization activities with global R&D, local operations, manufacturing, supply chain management, quality, product management, and suppliers. Establish and operate the India industrialization laboratory, including assembly areas, industrial workstations, tooling, fixtures, material handling, test infrastructure, ESD controls, and safe working procedures for high-power equipment. Ensure the readiness and quality of manufacturing deliverables, including bills of materials, electrical and mechanical drawings, 3D models, assembly and work instructions, torque and traceability requirements, quality control plans, factory acceptance test procedures, and packing and transport instructions.
