Job summary

Hill-International, Inc. invites a Civil Quantity Surveyor to join our building projects, including residential and commercial. You will perform quantity take-offs using IS 1200 standards, prepare BOQs and cost plans, and support tender estimates with data from Cost-X and AutoCAD.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Civil Engineering and 4–6 years of relevant experience on building projects, with strong MS Excel skills and a practical understanding of post-contract processes.

Qualifications

• Proficient in quantity take-offs for civil and building projects.
• Strong MS Excel and Word skills for data handling and reporting.
• Familiar with standard methods and cost estimation practices.

Responsibilities

• Undertake quantity take-offs for Civil, Structure, Architectural works using IS 1200, POMI or other similar standards.
• Use software tools (e.g., Cost X, AutoCAD) for quantity take-off and summarize quantities, transfer data into BOQs or cost plans including carrying out bulk checks.
• Draft or Validate Bills of Quantities including carrying out bulk checks.
• Prepare cost plans at different design stages including Concept, Schematic, and Design Development.
• Analyse and adjust unit rates, price BOQ items, support value engineering exercises, collect market quotations, and assist in tender estimates and cost plan reporting.
• Having basic understanding on tendering process and documentation.
• Support post-contract activities by understanding key contract terms and post contract work process flow.
• Assisting in the preparation of payment recommendation reports.
• Having basic knowledge of key building components and construction methods in construction related to Civil works.
• Should be good in CAD, Cost-X (qty take off tools) and other quantification / estimation software.
• Good skills on MS excel and word and ability to learn and adapt to customized software.
