Job summary

Citi is seeking an Analyst to design, develop, test, and support enterprise applications with a strong focus on Core Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices. You will work with global Agile teams to deliver scalable and secure software, leveraging AI-assisted coding tools to boost productivity and quality.

Responsibilities include implementing REST APIs, multithreading concepts, and database interactions, while ensuring security and compliance with Citi policies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of application development experience.
• Strong experience in Core Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs and Microservices.
• Familiarity with multithreading, concurrency, and transaction management.
• SQL/RDBMS knowledge and cloud fundamentals.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, testing and debugging.

• Leverage AI-powered coding assistants for development, testing, debugging and documentation.

Job description

The Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting enterprise applications in partnership with technology and business teams. This role requires strong hands‑on experience in Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Database technologies, and Cloud fundamentals, along with familiarity with modern AI‑assisted software development practices.

The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of scalable, secure, and resilient applications while leveraging AI‑powered engineering tools and coding agents to improve productivity and software quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using Core Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices.
• Apply knowledge of multithreading, concurrency, collections, and transaction management.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to analyze requirements and implement solutions.
• Participate in design, development, testing, deployment, and production support activities.
• Troubleshoot application issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Develop unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security requirements, and engineering best practices.
• Support CI/CD and cloud-native development practices.
• Leverage AI-powered coding assistants and agents (e.g., Lightspeed, GitHub Copilot, Devin AI) for development, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Apply Context Engineering and AI-first development practices to improve software delivery outcomes.
• Assess and manage risk appropriately while ensuring compliance with Citi policies and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of application development experience.
• Strong experience in:

• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools.
• Experience using Lightspeed, GitHub Copilot, Devin AI, or similar coding agents.
• Understanding of Context Engineering, prompt design, and Agentic SDLC practices.
