Job summary

Citi is seeking an experienced Analyst to design, develop, deliver, and support enterprise applications in partnership with Technology and Business teams. The role emphasizes Core Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud platforms, while driving engineering excellence and AI-assisted development practices.

The candidate will lead as a technical SME, mentor juniors, and collaborate across product, architecture, and engineering teams to ensure secure coding and scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of application development experience.
• Experience with solution design, code reviews, performance tuning, and production support.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, testing frameworks, and Agile delivery practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Core Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices.
• Apply expertise in multithreading, concurrency, collections, transaction management, and distributed system design.
• Lead the technical design and implementation of medium to large-sized features and enhancements.
• Collaborate with business, product, architecture, and engineering teams to define and deliver technical solutions.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application, performance, and production issues.
• Ensure adherence to secure coding standards, architectural principles, and engineering best practices.
• Drive code reviews, testing strategies, CI/CD adoption, and cloud-native engineering practices.
• Utilize AI-powered engineering tools and coding agents (e.g., Lightspeed, GitHub Copilot, Devin AI) to improve delivery efficiency and code quality.
• Apply Context Engineering and AI-first development practices to effectively leverage coding agents and automation throughout the SDLC.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for stakeholders and partner teams.
• Identify and implement opportunities for engineering productivity improvements and automation.

• Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms.
• Experience using Lightspeed, GitHub Copilot, Devin AI, or similar coding agents.
• Understanding of Context Engineering, prompt design, and Agentic SDLC practices.
• Knowledge of application security and secure software development practices.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to GenAI applications, LLM-powered solutions, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), MCP (Model Context Protocol), and AI platform integrations.
