Job summary

Citi is seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer/Lead to join the technology team in Pune. The role focuses on Core Java, Spring Boot microservices, Kafka messaging, and cloud deployment with ECS.

You will participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, mentor juniors, and ensure code quality and security. Ideal candidates bring 8–12 years of experience, strong SQL skills, and hands-on expertise with Agile practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of professional experience in software systems analysis and programming.
• Deep, hands-on expertise in Core Java, including concurrency, collections, and JVM internals.
• Extensive experience with the Spring Framework and Spring Boot for building enterprise-grade applications and microservices.
• Strong, practical experience with Kafka for building and maintaining event-driven architectures.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for database development and optimization.
• Good working knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and ECS.
• Solid experience with Agile development methodologies.

Responsibilities
