Job summary

Vitae International Accounting Services is seeking an experienced auditor for public company audit and assurance work in Coimbatore. The role requires knowledge of IFRS and strong controls/risk management, with advanced Excel and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience with public company audit and assurance work.
• Knowledge of auditing standards and IFRS; US GAAP is an asset.
• Familiarity with controls and risk management practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update internal tracking logs and coordinate across teams to ensure compliance activities are completed and documented.
• Produce concise documentation for review by Managers and Partners.
• Apply knowledge to support Pubco control initiatives strengthening internal processes and controls.
• Coach and mentor other accountants and collaborate with QRC and internal stakeholders to disseminate quality control information.

Job description

• Minimum 4years experience with public company audit and assurance work.
• Demonstrated knowledge of relevant Auditing Standards and IFRS. Knowledge of US GAAP is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of controls and risk management practices.
• Strong working knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• A detail-oriented mindset with a logical and process-driven approach to compliance and risk management.
• Excellent organisational and administration skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines.
• Collaborative and respectful approach to audit quality and compliance, as well as the ability to establish positive rapport with internal stakeholders.

• Maintains and updates several internal tracking logs and coordinates across various internal teams to ensure compliance activities are completed, recorded, and compliant with Firm policies.
• Produces concise and complete documentation for review by Managers and Partners, as applicable.
• Applies technical knowledge and research to support and participate in Pubco control initiatives aimed at strengthening internal processes and controls.
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills and able to work effectively with other accountants, seniors, and administrative assistants.
• Collaborates with Quality Risk and Compliance (QRC) Group and other Firm members to ensure effective communication and dissemination of key information pertaining to quality controls to support QRC monitoring activities.
