Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking a Lead – Quality for on-site MEP and structural steel works in Hyderabad. You will assist QA/QC engineers, support inspections, documentation, and test coordination to ensure conformance to drawings, specifications, and client requirements.

Qualifications

• BE/B.tech in mechanical with QA/QC focus is preferred.
• Diploma in TQM and ISO 9000 knowledge is beneficial.
• Experience in on-site inspections and MEP/steel projects.

Job Description

The Lead – Quality – MEP & Structural Steel – Site is responsible for assisting in quality checks, documentation, and inspection-related tasks associated with MEP systems and structural steel works. This role supports engineers in ensuring conformance to drawings, specifications, and client requirements through routine inspection, reporting, and test coordination at the site.

Assist QA/QC engineers in conducting inspections for electrical conduit works, cable tray installation, plumbing and piping layouts, HVAC ductwork, and fire-fighting installations to ensure alignment with approved shop drawings and quality standards.

• Support in checking welding quality, bolt tightening, and structural steel erection, including verifying alignment, orientation, painting, and galvanizing compliance as per drawings and codes.
• Participate in inspection of incoming MEP and steel materials, such as pipes, cables, motors, panels, valves, steel sections, and fasteners, ensuring proper storage, tagging, and certification.
• Help coordinate with labs and third-party agencies for conducting NDT, pressure tests, megger tests, and functional performance checks of MEP systems and steel connections.
