Job summary

Shahi is seeking a Quality Manager to lead quality initiatives in the knits garment division. The role focuses on maintaining a robust QMS, coordinating in-process inspections, and aligning production with buyer specifications.

You will collaborate with fabric QA, merchandisers, and QA teams to ensure online quality control and timely reporting of quality metrics. Prior experience in knits is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Must have strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Ability to identify, analyze, and provide solutions to quality issues.
• Experience in knits garment industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System to ensure product quality.
• Coordinate in-process inspections and support buyer reps in final inspections.
• Ensure pattern sizes match bulk production instructions and approve fabric/parts quality.

Job description

• Responsible to maintain a right Quality Management System to ensure quality of product.
• Conduct and coordinate in-process inspection and assist the buyer representative (GPQ) in the Final random (pre) Final inspection in the Factory.
• Check and ensure pattern size and confirm it for bulk production according to buyer instructions.
• Communicate with the fabric department regarding the fabric quality and assist the fabric QA to ensure online quality control and reporting of the fabric.
• Approve and work with the merchandiser for the fabric and all accessories quality issues of final bulk production.
• Follow up Inline checking and reporting in the cutting, sewing, and finishing department.
• Rectify the sewing defect and ensure the accurate shape and design of the product as per the clients requirement.
• Communicate with the buyers representative and follow their time-to-time instructions accurately.
• Keeping strong follow-ups on quality and technical issues and giving solutions.
• Coordinate PP meetings with the team, GPQ, and buyer QC till cutting approval.
• Review/Verify 100% In Line and End of line checking reports.
• Review QC audit report, measurement checking report for top and bottom, batch AQL report and daily batch audit production report.

Preferred candidate profile

• Relevant Experience in Knits Garment Industry.
• Strong QMS Technical knowledge.
• Skills of problem-solving of quality issues
