Job summary

Poshs Metal Industries in India seeks a Quality Engineer to monitor and improve process and product quality, drive CAPA actions, and lead cross-functional quality improvement projects.

You will apply lean methods, conduct internal audits, review KPIs, and ensure compliance with customer specs, ISO/IATF, and regulatory requirements, while promoting a culture of quality.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve Process PPM, Customer PPM, COPQ, and rejection trends.
• Lead root cause analysis using 8D, Why-Why Analysis, Fishbone, Pareto Analysis, and implement effective CAPA.
• Ensure timely closure and verification of corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop and implement error-proofing (Poka-Yoke) initiatives.
• Conduct internal audits and ensure readiness for Customer, ISO, and IATF audits.
• Monitor inspection systems, measurement systems, and process capability.
• Review quality KPIs and initiate preventive improvement actions.
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead cross-functional quality improvement projects.
• Coordinate quality planning for new products and process changes.
• Support equipment qualification and process validation activities. Promote EHS compliance and quality culture within the organization.
• Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Planning, and Supply Chain teams to achieve quality objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma concepts.
• Ensuring completion of and update of all relevant records during his/her daily tenure.
• Implementation of all planned and scheduled activities .
• Reporting to senior about numerical and other data during his shift/tenure.
