Ingersoll Rand India Ltd in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, seeks a Quality Engineer for the Machine Shop to ensure product quality across machining operations.

You will perform in-process and final inspections, analyze defects, and drive continuous improvements, collaborating with production and maintenance. The role requires strong GD&T knowledge and experience with measuring tools, plus familiarity with SPC, PFMEA, and 8D.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of machining processes
• Knowledge of GD&T and drawing interpretation
• Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments
• Knowledge of SPC, CAPA, 8D, 7QC tools, PFMEA and Control Plans
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspection of machined components.
• Ensure compliance with engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and quality plans.
• Conduct root cause analysis for machining-related quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor process capability and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, and Maintenance teams to improve quality performance.
• Review first-off approvals and process validations.
• Analyze rejection and rework trends and implement preventive measures.
• Ensure calibration compliance for measuring instruments used in the machine shop.
• Support customer and internal quality audits.

Job Overview

To ensure product quality throughout machine shop operations by monitoring machining processes, conducting inspections, driving process improvements, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of GD&T and drawing interpretation.
• Hands-on experience with Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, Dial Indicator, etc.
• Knowledge of SPC, CAPA, 8D, 7QC tools, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
