Job summary

Shree Ramchandra Infra Projects is seeking an RMC Quality Control Engineer to ensure the quality of raw materials and concrete at various production stages, testing, and delivery. You will monitor materials, perform lab and field tests, and ensure compliance with IS standards and company procedures.

You will coordinate with production, dispatch, and site teams, maintain records, and support audits and quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the RMC industry.
• Good knowledge of concrete technology, mix design, and quality control.
• Knowledge of laboratory and field testing procedures.
• Familiarity with Indian Standards (IS Codes) related to concrete and construction materials.
• Practical experience in RMC plant quality control will be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor the quality of incoming raw materials (cement, aggregates, sand, water, admixtures).
• Conduct laboratory and field tests for raw materials and concrete as per standards.
• Perform fresh concrete tests such as slump and temperature checks.
• Carry out concrete cube sampling, casting, curing, and compressive strength testing.
• Monitor concrete strength results and report deviations or quality concerns.
• Ensure production follows approved mix designs and specifications.
• Monitor batching plant operations from a quality control perspective.
• Coordinate with Production, Dispatch, and Site teams to resolve quality issues.
• Maintain quality records, test reports, cube records, mix design documents.

RMC QUALITY CONTROL (QC) ENGINEER

Job Description

The RMC Quality Control (QC) Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of raw materials and concrete at various stages of production, testing, and delivery, in accordance with approved mix designs, applicable standards, customer requirements, and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor the quality of incoming raw materials including cement, aggregates, sand, water, and admixtures.
• Conduct and monitor laboratory and field tests for raw materials and concrete as per applicable standards.
• Perform fresh concrete tests such as slump, temperature, and other required quality checks.
• Carry out concrete cube sampling, casting, curing, and compressive strength testing.
• Monitor concrete strength results and report any deviations or quality concerns.
• Ensure production is carried out as per approved mix designs and specifications.
• Monitor batching plant operations from a quality control perspective.
• Coordinate with Production, Dispatch, and Site teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Maintain quality records, test reports, cube records, mix design documents, and other relevant documentation.
• Monitor the calibration and proper condition of laboratory and testing equipment.
• Identify non-conformities and support appropriate corrective actions.
• Assist in handling customer/site quality complaints and technical issues.
• Support internal and external audits and provide required quality records.
• Ensure compliance with applicable IS Standards and company quality procedures.
• Follow safety requirements and maintain proper housekeeping in the laboratory and work areas.
